JLBC Pajama Drive
|
The Junior League of Berkshire County is holding a spring pajama drive through May 15 at locations across the county.
They will collect new pajamas for women and children in Berkshire County. All sizes are welcome, from children to adult women.
Look for the drop off boxes at Mad Macs, 317 North St., Pittsfield; Berkshire South Regional Community Center, 15 Crissey Road, Great Barr ington; Dalton CRA, 400 Main St., Dalton; and Berk shire Chamber of Commerce North Adams Office, 6 W. Main St., North Adams.
The Junior League of Berk shire County has been committed to serving the needs of families and children in Berkshire County for more 75 years. Their programs provide funding for various initiatives such as the literacy programs Curl up With a Good Book in local elementary schools and Kids in the Kitchen teaching children smart nutrition choices to address the growing problem of childhood obesity. They partner county-wide with organizations such as the Gladys Allen Brigham Center, Hillcrest Education Center, and the Department of Social Services. |

The Junior League of Berkshire County (JLBC) is an organization of women committed to promoting voluntarism, developing the potential of women and improving the community through the leadership of trained volunteers. Its purpose is exclusively educational and charitable.
We are committed to improving the quality of life in our community through initiatives benefiting the health and well-being of women and children.
We are part of The Association of Junior Leagues International which is made up of 293 Junior Leagues in four countries involving more than 193,000 volunteer members.
Working together, we identify needs, forge effective coalitions and work for change.
